Description
Harold Weisberg drafted a manuscript called Frame-Up to answer a critic. Robert Andrews had used a Washington Post Outlook piece to promote his book Death in a Promised Land. In Weisberg's view, the piece attacked his own work, and the manuscript answers back at length.
Weisberg defends his seven books on the Kennedy and King assassinations against charges of factual ignorance. The manuscript is a researcher protecting his life's work in public print terms. It preserves the feud whole, showing how personal the battles over the assassination record became. The piece survives as a manuscript among his papers, the draft of a public answer.
